National Museum of American Jewish History Honors Ron Rubin

The National Museum of American Jewish History (NMAJH) honored Philadelphia real estate developer Ron Rubin at their annual Only in America Gala, which was held at the Hyatt at the Bellevue, December 13, 2016.

Marcia Rubin, Ron Rubin,Philadelphia real estate developer and Ivy L. Barsky, Director and Chief Executive Officer at National Museum of American Jewish History. During the dinner program many of Ron’s friends took to the podium to honor him, as well as enlighten the audience with stories, including his brother George Rubin, Steve Cozen and former Governor Ed Rendell. Rep. Dwight Evans, Renee Zuritsky and Joseph Zuritsky Bari Epstein and Casey Satell, Assistant Director of Corporate Giving at The Franklin Institute Nino Tinari Esq., Tom McGill, Carol Tinari, and Charisse Lillie, Vice President of Community Investment at Comcast Peggy Butchkavitz, Jerry Blavat, Ellen Baer, Philip Baer and Carl Poplar Sherrie Savett, Esq. Berger Montague and Lloyd Remick, Zane Management Connie Smukler, former vice chair of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and Ken Smukler, president of Voterlink Data Systems Karen Phillips, Shelby Phillips and Jeff Phillips, C.O.O. at Palm Restaurant. Look for the famed eatery to open in April. Sarah Stroback, Director, Product Management, Comcast,  Duncan Cross and Mackenzie Walsh John Binswanger, Gay Binswanger, William Sasso, Elise Pizzi and Charles Pizzi Larry R. Kaiser, MD, FACS, President and CEO of Temple University Health System, Lindy Snider and Garrett Snider Jeanette Neubauer, Joseph Neubauer, Avi Golen and Shana Golen Maxine Champion and Berny Brownstein Olufemi Leverett, Sherri Ross, Peter Colonna Romano, Esq. and Marlo Polonsky De. Jessica Isaacs, Jacob Merkovitz, Rachel Hollander and Ari Sirner. Leslie Rosen was the caterer, while Fred Stein, Executive Producer for The Creative Group created the magical ambiance of the evening. At the conclusion of the ceremony honoring Mr. Rubin, there was a surprise concert by Andrea Bocelli. The gala raised over $1 million for the museum which will go towards the support of the museum's programs and mission.
