Philly Cooks 2016

Philadelphia magazine and Foobooz hosted another successful Philly Cooks on Tuesday, February 16th, at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. Guests at the annual event enjoyed delicious bites and spirits throughout the night with more than 40 participating restaurants, including many from Philly Mag’s most recent 50 Best Restaurants list. There was live music, beer, wine, a variety of desserts and a VIP Infiniti Lounge where guests could pose with Iron Chef Jose Garces. Proceeds from the evening’s event went to The Food Trust.

Sandy and Jim Korenkiewicz were out celebrating Sandy's birthday with their first trip to Philly Cooks. Mike McCorry and Kelly White enjoyed the foie gras terrine from Bistrot La Minette. Chef David Ansill, Chloe Grigri and Ryan Kizitaff, all of The Good King Tavern. Grigri is holding the Tavern's dish of the night, fromage de tête. Greg Wright and Pete Seltzer of the Food Trust. The proceeds from Philly Cooks went to support the Food Trust. The Food Trust also held a raffle to raise funds. Rachel Stumpo pours a delicious draft latte cold press express from La Colombe. Chef Jose Garces with Rob Keddie, executive vice president, chief development officer and general counsel, Garces Group. Cameron Baney, lead developer at 160over90 and Megan Morris, marketing director, Jet Wine Bar. Kwame Craig and Sarah Hughes. Libby Sikoutris and Nick Sikoutris loved Heritage's sturgeon dish. Gabriella Esser, Lindsey Roth and Amanda Dale. Their favorite dishes were from Bing Bing Dim Sum and Marigold Kitchen. Troy Faison and Merna Ricks. Philly Mag's 2015 Best Bartender Jesse Cornell and Sofia Klar of Neuf prepare the 9th Street Sour cocktail. Sofia normally works the line, but tonight she was doing a fine job creating delicious cocktails. Julia Wilkins and Zack Bambary enjoying a Shake Shack ice cream. John and Marci Knapp loved the dish from Urban Farmer. Jamie Romansky and Christina Hadlow (both of Table Art) enjoyed crispy cummins from Bing Bing Dim Sum. Cameron and Kaitlin Loyal were fans of Heritage's sturgeon and quail egg dish.
